Established in 2024 following a $100,000 donation by Gordon Thompson — The Marilyn Thompson Fund was created to provide support to promising Minto singles fr​eestyle skaters who achieve specific competitive results as set out herein and who are not in receipt of funding for their training from Skate Canada and/or Sport Canada. This Fund is intended to recognize and honour the important contributions of Marilyn Thompson over her many years as a coach at Minto.
