• National Ice Dance Competitor with Elizabeth Clark.

  • Began coaching at Minto Skating Club in 1971

  • Coached skaters from preliminary to gold, for competitive tests, and at competitions national and
  international, including Worlds and Olympics (Nagano, 1998)
  •Completed the original NCCP Levels IV and V, whose multi-sport and sport specific tasks were
  designed to elevate coaches to International, World and Olympic status. Among the first handful of
  coaches to achieve Level V.
  • Volunteerism:
  -Coaches Representative on the Minto Skating Club Board of Directors
  -Eastern Ontario Section Coaching Advisory Committee
  -CFSA Coaching Coordinating Committee
  -Nation-wide committee of coaches recruited to attend presentations given by the experts creating
  NCCP Levels IV and V.
  •Served for15 years as Course Conductor Learning Facilitator for NCCP / CAC - Levels I to III.
   
  •Received the 2020 Brian Kilrea Lifetime Coaching Award from Ottawa Sports Awards.
