Sectionals Send-Off Party

On Nov. 7, 2003, the Minto Skating Club held the Sectionals Send-Off Party.  The party was well attended by skaters, family members and board members.

 Don Jackson was unable attend as he is currently touring with the Old Timers; however, he faxed a note to Terry Lewandowski (who read it on his behalf).  Don expressed his continued support and encouragement to the skaters.  Tara McDougall (Coaches Rep) also took time out of her busy schedule to give the kids a word of encouragement before running off to organize the flag ceremony for the sectionals opening. The skaters were presented with team shirts, cards of encouragement from their coaches, and great little CD holders for their music (a great find by Vicky Elias).

The party was organized by the club hospitality committee headed by Jo-Anne Charette and Marianne Cuhcai. who put on beautiful display of food, pictures and atmosphere. Our thanks for all their organizational effort.
